FAQ

Welcome!

The downtowns of Little Rock and North Little Rock are certainly going through a renaissance, revitalization and rebirth. What an exciting time to grow your business in an area that lends itself to living, working and playing!

The Pulaski Empowerment Zone (PEZ) designation began in January of 2002 and since that time corporations has expanded, residential opportunity has grown, the trolley is running, and there are new restaurants and shops to enjoy! To name a few, the following businesses have found success within the boundaries of the Empowerment Zone Area: Community Bakery, Ristorante Capeo, the Capitol Hotel, Best Park, Inc., The Peabody and Wyndam Hotels.

The PEZ initiative is designed to promote economic development in distressed areas of our community. Through these incentives, we are encouraging businesses not only to grow and expand in our vibrant downtowns, but to employ people who live within the boundary as well. This holistic approach gives each of us a stake in making sure that the quality of life in the PEZ is strong and vibrant. Together we can build a strong community!

To find out if you are in the "zone" and to take advantage of the tax incentives, browse our website and/or contact, Eyona Scott Mitchell, Pulaski escott@downtownlr.com.
